The end of the first session is sad but also a lot of fun. For art institute, this last day is the time to show off all their projects to their friends and family. All parents and family relatives are welcomed to the art show! Cookies and refreshments were there to make sure everyone had a great time.
Once you walked into the art room you could see different art projects all over the place. Campers had between 10-20 projects to show off to their parents, friends, and other camp directors. "Everything comes together at the art show, its a platform of confidence." (Jen Bini Director of Art Institute). Some projects were on the walls; some in their own spots and some projects were even hanging from the ceiling. The feeling of amazement and awe stuck the faces of most parents who couldn’t believe the awesome art their young campers had done. My personal favorite was the ice cream cone project, the only problem was you couldn’t eat it.
Campers were able to bring home their works of art to keep! Returning campers will have the opportunity to add their art collection with brand new projects for the second session. The director of art institute Jen says, “Projects are never repeated in each session!” So that means your never bored and you are always learning more skills!
